A Host of New Armies & A Quick Postage Update
Hey Trolls,
We're back this week with lots of new armies and a shipping update for you all. Unfortunately due to price increases everywhere we're having to change our postage costs starting the 1st March. There are some positives to come out of this however- every single parcel that leaves us will have a tracking number! So you'll be able to keep an eye on every single order you place from us the moment it leaves us to when it arrives at your door. For the UK the price is changing to £3.50 tracked and for EU or Rest of World residents postage will be £7 tracked.
(please note that there will not be a non-tracked postage option)
With that out of the way we can talk about the vast swathes of new armies waiting to find their forever homes. There are too many to talk about them all so I've decided to pick out my favourite few!
The Crimson Shadow
Kicking things off with style we have this awesome Forces of Chaos combined army. What I love about this is how uniform the whole looks even though there's a real mix of model types. In this force you can see some Chaos Dwarves, a Slaves to Darkness contingent alongside from more monstrous daemonic powerhouses in the form of a Soul Grinder and a Slaughterbrute - all led by the Dark Prince, Be'lakor himself. You'll also find surprises dotted around this force in the forms of the old school Archaon on foot model and a Chaos Dwarf Daemonsmith.
The painting on these are incredible, we love the bright reds on the daemonic flesh as well as the brassy armour on the Slaves to Darkness, all tied together by the basing and scarlet cloaks throughout. A stand out for us was Be'Lakor himself, rocking that vibrant red skin and a bright green sword, he really stands out as the centre point for the army.
The Flame of the Furnace
Up next we have an Ad Mech force which has been painted using orange as the primary colour throughout. These look great on the battlefield together and they'll be sure to grab the attention of passers by with such a bright scheme. Often you see grimy schemes with red (Mars) as their focus so it's nice to see an Ad Mech force which really livens them up. The army itself has a great mix of units- ranging from Skitarii, to Kastelan Robots, Onager Dunecrawlers, Ballistarius' and some Electro Priests.
The Bubonic Tide
Speaking of grimy, allow us to introduce you all to the latest Plague Host to stink us ou...grace us with their presence. This small little force of Death Guard is the perfect starting point for any new general or player picking up the chosen of Mortarion as a new army. Focusing mostly on the Dark Imperium and Conquest magazine, this force has a great mix between Plague Marines, Poxwalkers, Daemon engines and characters to get you started. The paintjob is superb and will easily make an impact on your local gaming group.
The Winter Chill
Finishing us off this week we have a lovely winter themed Sylvaneth army. What we love about this force is the care to keep the theme consistent throughout. The wood is a lighter shade, showing a lack of warmth whilst the icy blue weapons reminds you of ice. The snowy bases really hammer home and tie together the theme of winter. With an awesome variety of models here this is a great starting point for a Sylvaneth army, there's something of everything here. To accompany this force we recommend some Tree-Revenants or Alarielle herself, both would look incredible in this scheme.
That's it for this week Trolls, stay safe and happy wargaming!
